Doobie Brothers/Steely Dan
« on: July 12, 2018, 06:20:46 am »
Went to the concert over in Camden, NJ.

Great to see Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons still with the Doobie Brothers.

And what a great show with Donald Fagan, et al.

So many bands have lost a step, but not these.

Is it really "Steely Dan" without Becker?

Well, it might be heresy, but Jon Herington more-than-adequately handles the guitar.  And we still have Fagen's voice.

These guys were before my time and seemed to be the quintessential stoner band, but man, what freaking musicians.

I'd kill to be able to play jazz like that.

Great!  I'll have to suggest this out to my co-worker who's adamantly anti-Michael-McDonald!

Skunkster played for both, too bad they couldn't bring him back.
