Gowdy Wonders How Mueller Can Prosecute Anyone

A prosecutor by trade, Rep. Trey Gowdy is not just furious over the IG report. As he made clear in his recent Fox News interview, but he’s wondering, just how many other cases DOJ bias has jeopardized beyond the Clinton investigation—if it can be called that—or the Russia fake news dossier investigation. It’s nearly impossible for a jury to discern whether bias influenced an investigation, for better or for worse.

Gowdy explained: “God only knows what damage he has done before Mueller fired [Peter Strzok]. This is what’s so pervasive about bias…it doesn’t matter what Mueller comes up with. Some people are going to believe that Strzok’s level of animus was so high that you can’t remove the taint.”

Exactly.

Is this the same Trey Gowdy who recently claimed the FBI acted appropriately in their investigation of Trump?

Trey is of three minds on any matter.

What Trey thinks apparently depends on which way the wind is blowing that particular moment.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I agree,

Lets get rid of the FBI, ATF, EPA, DOE, Education, DEA, IRS and cut the remaining by 75%.

Then we can get serious about making the govt smaller.

Oh and I forgot the DOJ the boneheads who started this whole thing and are trying to hide it.

The I.G. will be a the House today. It will be interesting to see what Gowdy has to say. I'll be
watching if I can find a link. I think it is on C-Span 3. Sometimes I can watch C-Span even those
I cut the cable. Hoping that is the case today.

Yeah.... that's the same guy.  Obviously a case of multiple personality.

I believe that the FBI is charged with doing investigation(s) and that DOJ prosecutors are charged with determining whether or not the evidence collected by the FBI in any given case warrants prosecution.  If I am correct in that,  I would very much appreciate someone explaining to me how it is possible to have patently obviously biased investors collect or not evidence, present that evidence to prosecutors who make determinations based on the evidence gathered by the very biased investigators and then say those determinations were not influenced by  the bias of the investors!
