June 10, 2018

President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani says former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie would do well as attorney general in the Trump administration.

Giuliani said “he’s my number one candidate” while speaking to New Jersey newspaper the Record Saturday.

Giuliani added he sees Christie as someone with unlimited possibilities in the second term....

He has to be trying to add to the chaos on purpose.

Why?  Because he knows that Trump loves the chaos?  Or....

because Rudy's just not that bright....?

No.  Christie would be just as bad on Civil Asset Forfeiture as Sessions is.  I want somebody who will stop the LEO Highway Robbery.

Christie in any position except dog catcher would be a colossal mistake.   I bet he's out there giving hugs and kissing trying to land a new job though.

Isn't Giuliani the one who suggested Sessions to Trump? Selecting Sessions was mistake #1 for Trump.  Mistake #2 was trusting and hiring Giuliani.  Mistake #3 will indeed be Christie.

I don't see it happening as Christie and Kushner aren't exactly best buds.

I'd hate to lose Ted in the Senate, but he would make an absolutely awesome AG and draining the swamp would indeed happen.  If not, IMHO, Trump should be leaning on Ted who I think would at least give him some sound advice as to who would serve him well as the next AG.

We need to leave Ted Cruz right where he is for the time being.  J. Christian Adams would make an exceptional AG IMHO.

I'd prefer Jock Jeffcoat (Billions) from Texas, i.e. Clancy Brown.

I like the Adams idea, if we can't have Tom Fitton.

I'll assure you that if that were to happen there would be a house cleaning at DOJ unlike anything we have seen previously.

Yes, as Christie put Kushner's father in prison.
That is why Kushner is working to get criminals out of prison.

 Agree on your sentiments 'Bout Ted. The only place besides the Senate for him would be the Supreme Court... if not President after Trump.

Besides, The AG is a disposable position.... Ted is far too valuable for that.

ridiculous!
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

I'm not familiar with Adams, I will have to look him up.  Thanks for the info.
