Democrats will be allowed inside the top secret White House meeting where law enforcement and intelligence officials plan to reveal information about the use of an FBI informant during the 2016 campaign.

The White House gave into demands from party leaders to be in the room and is expected to invite the 'Gang of 8,' a bipartisan group of House and Senate leadership to attend, ABC News reported.

The details are still being worked out but the White House said in a statement late Wednesday night Republicans will be briefed as planned on Thursday.

The 'Gang of 8' has requested a briefing before they leave on their Congressional recess on Friday. Congress doesn't return to Washington DC until June 5.

The White House said it is trying to accommodate that request.

Representatives Devin Nunes, chairman of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee, and Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, will be at Thursday's briefing with law enforcement officials, as was originally scheduled.

'Tomorrow's meeting between Chairmen Gowdy and Nunes and officials from DOJ, law enforcement and the intelligence community will be held at the Department of Justice. Congressional leadership has requested the bipartisan Gang of 8 meeting be scheduled before the recess. We are working to make that happen,' said White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah in a statement.
