Farenthold lands new job in Texas
By Brett Samuels - 05/14/18 03:48 PM EDT Former Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) has taken a new job at a port in southeast Texas, roughly one month after he resigned from Congress amid an ethics investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported Monday that Farenthold will be working with the Port of Port Lavaca-Point Comfort, where his annual salary will be $160,000.
The port told the Caller-Times that Farenthold will work as its legislative liaison, helping to promote its agenda. He will also work to increase the port’s presence with federal lawmakers and the Trump administration.
