President Donald Trump told top auto executives at a meeting in the White House that he wants them to build “millions more cars” in the U.S.

"We have at this table the biggest car manufacturers in the world,” Trump said as the meeting got underway Friday. “We’re working on how to build more cars in the United States.”

Top executives of General Motors Co., Honda Motor Co., Ford Motor Co., Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and other companies came to discuss trade and environmental standards enacted by the Obama administration.

My son just bought his first new car.  It's a compact sedan - assembled in U.S., with engine and transmission built in U.S.

It's a Hyundai.  None of the Big Three offer anything comparable.

That should be the Elantra. Hyundai has come a long way with its cars.

Hyundai USA Hq. is a few miles from me, in Fountain Valley CA. They just completed a brand new facility, where the previous one stood.

Korean products, Hyundai/Kia along with Samsung, LG are very highly regarded in the marketplace.

That's right.  It is a very nice, well made small car.

I haven't been in an Elantra to judge but the Elantra Eco looks interesting. It has a 1.4 liter turbo that is light on gas use and is said to be a tad quicker than the 2.0 liter due to having more torque. And a dual-clutch tranny.
