Geraldo Rivera’s son busted for choking, biting ex-girlfriend

Geraldo Rivera’s son Cruz was busted for allegedly choking his ex-girlfriend and then chomping down on her leg and hand as she tried to flee his Manhattan apartment, according to police sources Wednesday.

Cruz Rivera’s former flame, Meghan Burke, 26, showed up at his 175th Street apartment in Washington Heights around 5 p.m. Tuesday to pick up some of her things, sources said.

But once she was inside, Cruz, 30, allegedly pounced on her, throwing her onto a bed, pinning her there from behind in a chokehold and nearly causing her to pass out, sources said.

He told cops at the scene that he was TV journalist Geraldo’s son, sources said.

Cruz faces charges of criminal obstruction of breathing and misdemeanor assault.

She went there alone?  Stupid.  She should have brought a side-kick or friend as a witness, if for nothing else.
