Beset by big college loans, inheriting two wars, and facing an uncertain future of work, a majority of millennials say baby boomers have made things worse for them — and a lot of boomers agree, according to a new Axios/SurveyMonkey poll.

Why it matters: If it persists, the generational divide could turn into political rivalry as the generations compete for limited tax dollars — millennials seeking government help as automation takes hold, and boomers insisting on promised levels of Social Security and Medicare.

Um... made things worse for them how, exactly?  What or which ""baby boomer"" policies, exactly, have made things worse for them?  Quite frankly, I don't think these millenials know what the hell they're bleating about.

Their solutions?  Asinine, mostly.  Like .... for instance....

I might could go for removing/firing all "old" government officials since it would remove one helluva lot of damned Democrats.  But... isn't that age discrimination???  Remove term limits completely?  Oh sure.... that'll work!     What do they want to go to... a royalty government system where people 'serve for life'?  Do these stuckonstupid millenials even have a clue what they're suggesting here?  I don't think so.

Well if it were that easy to "impeach a president"... ie for no just or legal cause...what would be the point in voting.....ever?

Asinine.  And probably, unfortunately, a perfect example of why this nation is circling the drain.  Because young liberals sometimes grow up to become old liberals.  And there are too damned many of them.  And liberals are known for resentment when it comes to their perception of not getting their fair share of taxpayer freebies.  They resent baby boomers for having EARNED their social security benefits.... when they haven't earned a damned thing and probably never will.

The policies that have led to the current state of affairs the Millennials are complaining about were devised by the Greatest Generation and the generation before them. Its ridiculous to blame an age demographic when a political philosophy is responsible, a philosophy shared by a growing number of people as decades progress.

If the Millennials don't like whats going on they can change the policies. And I'll be right there with em.

Just because some jackass with a speech impediment, Tom Brokaw, tells us they were the Greatest Generation doesn't mean it's so. These problems they overcame were problems of their own making.

Among those of us who are now 60+ years old, there are many who (like me) have been working since they were in their teens or early twenties. We never asked for government help, and we never wanted it, because dependency was a greater fear than even hunger.

That said, there are hard workers and slackers in every generation, including the Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, Millennials, or whatever the hell demographic moniker one cares to apply to them.

The significant difference I see between then (1960s/70s) and now is that people used to be more embarrassed by the perception of laziness or dependency, whereas today it is increasingly excused or even defended as a lifestyle choice.

They have to be singling out the batch of Millennials that entered college and/or graduated from same...during the Obama administrations over 8 years.

Their college degrees turned out same as Confederate money...or the fields they chose were put into a coma-like state due to over regulation, etc..

Not being able to get your career on track in your 20's.....having close friends still living at home with their parents, etc., will take a toll on anyone's psyche.
