After ‘Harden Sucks’ chant rains down, presumptive MVP proves the opposite

James Harden’s performance ran contrary to popular belief at Target Center on Monday night.

A sold-out crowd of 18,978 tried their best to rattle Harden late in the second quarter, as a “Harden Sucks” chant spread throughout the jam-packed arena.

Harden had a modest 12 points at that point after starting an abysmal 0 for 7 from the floor. Although  he couldn’t seem to find his rhythm early on, the nastiness of the home crowd seemed to fuel the presumptive MVP the rest of the away.

“I like to hear stuff like that,” Harden said with a smile after the game, clearly taking pride in the fact that he went on to silence the haters amid an incredible third quarter. “They really don’t mean it. They just have to say it. Hopefully it makes them feel good.”

On the basketball forum I get on (Real GM) there are numerous posters who hate Harden. They think he is charging and not being fouled when he drives to the basket. They think the refs are helping him. Many of them, Harden haters, don't believe he has good athletic ability.
Actually, Harden is an excellent athlete and also a very smart one.  He's very difficult to stop going to the basket and knows how to draw fouls rather than avoid them...which is what players should try to do when going to the basket.
