Effingham, IL Declares Itself ‘Sanctuary County’ – for Gun Owners

By an 8-1 vote, the Effingham County (Illinois) Board has approved a resolution declaring the county a sanctuary for gun owners.

In a move mocking so-called “sanctuary cities” that refuse to enforce the nation’s immigration laws, the resolution directs employees not to enforce [1] laws that “unconstitutionally restrict the Second Amendment.”
