Waffle House shooting leaves 4 dead, several injured; gunman sought

At least four people were killed and several others were injured early Sunday when a gunman opened fire at a Waffle House in Nashville, Tenn., police said.

The alleged gunman, Travis Reinking, 29, began shooting at patrons around 3:25 a.m. Sunday at the Waffle House, located about 16 miles southeast of downtown Nashville, before fleeing the scene, Metro Nashville police said. Authorities had initially said Reinking was a person of interest, but later said he has been identified as a suspect.

"If you see a nude guy walking around this morning call the police department," Don Aaron of the Metro Police Department told WTVF.

A person at the restaurant had wrestled away the alleged shooter's rifle.
Police initially described the gunman as a man with short hair who was last seen walking on Murfreesboro Pike. He "shed his coat" after firing his gun and is nude.

Authorities identified Reinking as a person of interest after finding the vehicle allegedly used by the gunman was registered in that name.

Travis Reinking of Morton/Tremont Illinois is accused.

A Travis Reinking was in Salida Colorado also, see 2nd picture,  http://www.themountainmail.com/free_content/collection_4b0157c6-de65-11e6-b245-a32a6a0c77c9.html to me, it looks like it could be the same male though I wouldn't say it with certainty.

I don't know about a resemblance, but the name is unusual.  What are the odds there are more than one person with that name (except in one family)?

Once again, another perp KNOWN to police and the FBI due to past behaviors, goes into mass murder mode.

Police said suspect Reinking is know to federal law enforcement and “had prior contact with FBI.”

Authorities say the suspect in a deadly shooting at a restaurant in Nashville was arrested last year by the U.S. Secret Service for being in a restricted area near the White House.

Metro Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron said 29-year-old Travis Reinking’s firearms authorization was then revoked at the request of the FBI, and four weapons were seized, including the AK-15 that he allegedly used in the shooting at the Waffle House restaurant early Sunday. Four people were killed.

He stole a car from a BMW dealership just days prior, Tuesday the stories say,  they found that stolen car at the apartment complex per GPS, it sure seems like that was a serious offense enough to nab him but the stories make it sound like they didn't know he was the one that stole them.
