Yes, you read that headline right. In the dystopian world of the United Nations, Syria will chair the UN conference on global chemical and nuclear disarmament.

Syria has consistently used chemical weapons on its people, including the latest instance earlier this month on April 7, 2018, in which 42 people, including many children, were killed in a gas attack in Douma. The U.S. retaliated for that attack in a missile strike April 14.
