Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is ready to join President Trump’s legal team and “negotiate an end” to the ongoing and contentious saga involving the president and special counsel Robert Mueller, according to multiple reports Thursday evening.

While “America’s mayor” has been discussing the move with the Trump administration for a while, the Daily Beast reported, the negotiations stalled when the White House was dealing with issues concerning North Korea and Syria.

However, Giuliani told the Washington Post on Thursday that he will join the president’s legal team.

...??? How is he coming in at the 7th hour supposed to help things? Isn't he the one that leaked info on Clinton e-mails during the campaign?  Would this not be a definite conflict of interest?? What does he think he's going to do to settle this witch hunt once and for all? Trump's lawyers then are not capable of taking care of things??

So we should know in less than 2 weeks, if Giuliani is able to satisfy his objective of ending the Mueller probe:

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

If hiring Rudy is meant as a "Hail Mary" move by Trump to end the probing (ouch)....

I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be an even more painful experience.

Agreed. I think he is going to do more harm than good.  I can't help but wonder what his real motivation is here.

I still have high regard for him, but people I hold in high regard often do foolish things.  I still respect them.  As for being a NY Liberal, it's about the best I think we could have hoped for as Mayor of NYC. 

This business of trying to make a deal with the Devil is probably pretty high on my list of foolish things.  Mueller is a Man on a Mission to destroy President Trump, and Rudy's not going to succeed in stopping that, no matter what his ego tells him he can do.

I like the mueller probe. All they do is look for a Russian with  a Trump sign in his/her yard.

If they stop mueller, the press will yell...... see Trump is guilty of withholding information..
