The top Democrat on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee said on Wednesday he will oppose President Donald Trump’s nomination of Mike Pompeo as secretary of state, making it unlikely he will have the committee’s backing before the full Senate votes.

Senator Robert Menendez criticized the Trump administration, and CIA chief Pompeo in particular, for lacking a strategic vision across the foreign policy spectrum. He also criticized Pompeo for failing to disclose his recent trip to North Korea in meetings with lawmakers.

Pompeo wasn't obligated to discuss what he did at the behest of the President over the Easter weekend.

Mendez is the last person to be lecturing anyone about disclosure.

It appears there may be an upper limit to how many Senate confirmed administration positions President Trump can force out of, or cause to flee the White House.  I know he already has the record with large margins for his term and probably most Presidents full terms, but winners don't let up when they are winning yuge.

Between Congress planning a budget that never gets used, and confirming Trump appointments for the same position multiple times per year, it's hard to see how they have time to not pass a repeal of Obamacare, not fund the wall, and fail to convict Hillary, Obama and the Democrats for breaking the law.
