Poland-Russia relations are complicated because of the Smolensk tragedy and the aggression of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said this in an interview with the PAP on the eve of the Smolensk tragedy anniversary, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The relations [with Russia] are complicated. On the one hand, because of the Smolensk tragedy, the return of the plane wreckage... However, it’s not only about the Smolensk tragedy. It is also a matter of Russian aggression in Ukraine, the occupation of Crimea, the occupation of part of the Ukrainian territory," the Polish leader said.

That Smolensk tragedy was unbelievable but an accident, I tend to think. Too bad, so many important people from Poland including the heads-of-state were on that plane.

I wonder why he even brought up Smolensk; unless, he's among those conspiratorial types who does not believe it was a mere accident.  That the Russians have some blame in the whole story.
