Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on Wednesday for action against Syria, as the US and its allies appear to be gearing up for a military strike against the Syrian government over a suspected chemical attack in Douma that Damascus denies.

"The events of the last days teach that standing up to evil and aggression is a mission that is incumbent upon every generation," Netanyahu said at the opening ceremony of Israel's annual Holocaust commemorations.

"We saw the Syrian children who were slaughtered with chemical weapons. Our hearts were rent by the horrific sights."

Great.  Israel is the perfect candidate to carry out this intervention.  Leave us out of it.

Agreed.
I've said that before in several previous posts on the subject.
No other nation possesses the same moral authority to strike against a nation (especially their direct neighbor) using "gas" on its citizens, than does Israel.

At the very least, turn Mossad loose on Assad.
Either (cough choke) "do something" about him, or scare him enough so that he flees into exile...

There seems to be no alternatives between economic sanctions and outright bombing.

We've got to get a little more creative with our foreign policy.

Maybe those "no-fly zones" but that is expertise for others.
