The Battle of California, as waged by the Trump administration, is ramping up.
No surprise. President Donald Trump knows his base, and knows that they dislike Left Coast liberals and immigrants in the country illegally with equal fervor. Don’t even mention the words “sanctuary state,†a debate now spilling over into more conservative communities in Southern California, who are voting out of any inclusion in the state’s defiance of federal immigration policies.
The latest skirmish seemingly erupted after Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross announced last week he was adding a question about citizenship to the 2020 census.
