Canadian churches vandalized on Easter Sunday - World Bulletin

Two Catholic churches were defaced with obscenities of Jesus on the holiest day in the Christian religion.

Between midnight Sunday and 7 a.m. (0300 and 1000GMT) the churches in two parishes in Halifax, Nova Scotia were targeted with identical graffiti.

“Nasty things, such as [expletive] Jesus, was spray-painted on our outdoor signs on both sides and also across the front door of our church the same words and also a hand giving the finger,” Father James Mallon of Saint Benedict Parish told the media.

Odd history detailed in the rest of the story.  This could be about anything.  Tranquil Canada, maybe not so tranquil.

The "churches" in Canada are hardly churches at all. All the denominations consolidated years ago into the "United Church of Canada" and sold out to the "social justice" causes.

I think that above is Trudeau... so I think that means no disrespect. I would say, we could reduce the image though, I"d go [ img width=400]http://XXX[/img ] Moderating, I could reduce it...so @dfwgator will know next time.

@Mod1 I think that was DFW's intent.

Okay, I reduced it. I think that is Trudeau... but perhaps the comment still is not well founded.

All the denomination in Canada?

Are you saying that there is only one denomination of any Christian Church left in Canada?

I'm slightly exaggerating; the Catholics are still around, but MOST of the Protestant churches have merged into one. The UCC includes the Methodists, Congregationalists and the Presbyterians.

All in all, there are far fewer denominations there than there are here.

United Church of Canada is one of the 25 different denominations under The Canadian Council of Churches.  These 25 denominations represent about 85% of the Christian Churches in Canada.

Sounds like "the religion of the state", if you ask me...
