A Sanders-Warren ticket could win big in 2020
By Brent Budowsky, opinion contributor — 03/09/18 11:45 AM EST

On March 19,  Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will host a town meeting about income inequality that will feature Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), film producer and director Michael Moore and the New School economics professor Derrick Hamilton.

This subject is one of the most important issues facing all Americans in their daily lives. It strikes at the heart of the matter of jobs, wages, economic opportunity and the core fairness of the American economy.

In my column this week in The Hill, I urged Democrats to focus intensely on uniting the party and winning control of the House and Senate in November, in the most important midterm elections in a century.

Thanks for carrying the bucket of stupid today at the Hill Brent. First off, Sanders lost his ass in the Primary. Even removing Hitlary and her cheating, he did poorly. He only got the punk kids to show up to the polls. Most of that support was because Hitlary was a terrible candidate, not because he was a winner. Secondly Massholes in the Squaws on state dislike her. She has a good chance of losing her seat this year. She is only popular in NYC, DC and LA. Out in the rest of the country she is a lying effete moron.

Trump would destroy this Rat ticket to nowhere.

Unfortunately, those states from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin have a lot of blue collar workers and as long as the economy and jobs are going well, the GOP should continue in the White House but change could see different. Those kinds of workers do like Bernie a bit. We will see. Hoping for the best but good to look at things realistically. Also, it appears Kasich is not doing Trump favors in Ohio. Those states become, at least, one of the keys to continuing.

Times aren't like when Nixon was president. I've always got some concern about what the Democrats can do....nowadays, and they start off with basically, California (55 big votes), NY and Illinois in the bag. Also the Northwest and parts of the East Coast like Massachusetts.

Instead of talking about Sanders and Warren, people ought to focus on the piss poor job which has been done by the political right, of selling their political and economic philosophy.

IOW most of the 17 2016 Primary candidates, plus many Senators and House Reps too.

People on the left will focus on painting the economy as being in the tank under Republicans.  And Republicans will let them get away with it.  As usual.  Ho hum....

nothing new under this sun.

Trivia; Both of them were born in the 1940's

And their political philosophy was born in the 1840's.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Hey, if that happens I'm fine with that. There's no confusion about where Sanders and Warren stand, no Cliintonian shifty shuffle shuck and jive.

If the country knows clearly and exactly what they will be getting, and wants to flush themselves down the toilet, then so be it. At least we go down clear eyed and nothing blinding us.

Meanwhile I'll take my ball to the woods and make a go of it.
The Republic is lost.

True enough @Bigun ... What makes me VERY nervous is how few of our youth know this.

I LIKE this ticket.  Yes indeedy, I do!

will go a long way to cementing a GOP victory.

Imagine, a 79 year old Socialist idiot from a little state and a fake Indian from a state that seems to frequently get nominations for President(Dukakis, Kerry) that get creamed.

Bring it on.

America-hatred and out-and-out socialism/communism.

See Antonio Gramsci, The Frankfurt School, The Chicago School, and H. Marcuse and "critical theory"....
