Cruz 'absolutely' concerned about increased Dem turnout in Texas primaries
By Julia Manchester - 03/06/18 11:50 AM EST

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) said on Tuesday he is "absolutely" concerned about what could be high Democratic turnout in Texas for the midterm elections in November.

"The extreme left is energized and angry, and it makes it all the important for conservatives to show up in November," Cruz told CNN's Manu Raju.

Cruz said in a separate interview on Monday with talk show host Hugh Hewitt that the Lone Star State could potentially turn blue in November if conservatives stay home on election day.

"We could end up with a Speaker Pelosi and a Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. In Texas, if conservatives stay home, if we rest on our laurels, we could see Texas turn blue," the senator said.

I find it bizzare that a everyone is shocked that TX is turning blue. The state has taken in displaced Leftists now for the past decade. Soros has been putting his finger on the election scales there. Some of these candidates the GOP are running seem less then stellar.

It wasn't that long ago that TX was a fairly Rat state. Anyone remember Ma Richards?

For all the talk of Texas turning blue it has NOT shown up in any statewide election results.  The State House and Senate remain in Republican control.

We hear this silly claim every election year for more than the past decade.

Reality, Texas hasn't elected ANY democrat to ANY statewide office since 1994.  Tell me another state claiming to be a republican stronghold that comes close to that election record.

Sure we have our liberal pockets.  Like all states.  But when you get past the talk and count the votes:

  • Cruz 2016- a Constitutional Conservative at last!
I heard Ken Paxton on Fox business saying that 86% of the dimocrap primary voters were also voters in the general.
Principles matter. Words matter.
