Military Prosecutor says about 518 suicides among Donbas veterans

Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatolii Matios says that out of 313,000 Ukrainian troops that participated in the Donbas conflict, 518 people committed suicide, as he wrote on Facebook.

“Only according to the data from the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, out of almost 313,000 participants of the Donbas conflict, 518 people committed suicide. How many crimes they committed because of the PTSD, nobody takes into account,” he wrote.

Moreover, according to data provided by Matios, there have been 16 cases of suicide among servicemen of Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of this year.“Most of the suicides are very young guys, born in 1995-1998,” he wrote.

Donbas is where the conflict is going on and in that confrontation in Syria where a lot of Russians got killed, I believe some of them may have even been referred to as the Donbas battalion. Donbas, the part of Ukraine where some of this fighting is going on.
