National Rifle Association chief executive Wayne LaPierre has long touted the idea that “the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.”

He famously said the remark after the Sandy Hook shooting and reiterated his theory last week after the shooting at a Florida high school.

Research has shown, however, that the maxim isn’t always accurate.

"It’s a good slogan,” said Liza Gold, a clinical professor of psychology at Georgetown University’s School of medicine who examines the nexus between mental illness and gun violence.

"I have yet to see the evidence base for that claim,” she said.

Patent nonsense.  The examples are everywhere.

Look at the shooting at the church in Texas.  It was stopped by a man with an AR15.

The "new" narrative in some kind of attempt to blunt the "arming teachers" position being put forth.

It seems that the majority of professors in our day are outrageous liars.  And I think that their opposition to the 2nd Amendment will prove to be even more virulent than their other "progressive" mantras, because it is ultimately our surest defense against the Marxists.

Because these idiots don't see news reports of people being saved by good guys with guns they believe it doesn't happen.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Evidence happens every day.  Kinda hard to see it though when you're a Georgetown prof with your head up your ass.

I guess she totally missed how the church shooter in Texas was stopped from escaping.

LOL. Yeah right. I'll pass on this fake news. This fat pig is the go to Lib with a degree for the MSM from everything involving guns, sexual harassment, ADA, rickets and picking your nose.
