A veteran who made headlines by offering to take Rep. Maxine Waters' seat at President Trump's first State of the Union address will indeed be in attendance.

After seeing Ricky Taylor's appearance Wednesday on "Fox & Friends," Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) invited him to the event and he accepted.
Waters (D-Calif.) is one of several Democrats who are skipping the event, telling MSNBC last week that Trump is "the most despicable human being that could possibly ever walk the earth."

"Why would I take my time to go and sit and listen to a liar? ... He doesn't deserve my attention," Waters said.

Her words struck a nerve with Taylor, a ten-year Army veteran, whose tweet to Fox News went viral. Taylor, who served two tours in Afghanistan, offered to take Waters' place so he could thank the president.

On "Fox & Friends," Taylor said he uses the Twitter handle "Deplorable Vet" because he's a proud Trump supporter. After Hillary Clinton's infamous "basket of deplorables" remark, he embraced the term.

"You can call us what you want, but we're still going to support our president," Taylor said.

He said he takes issue with how Waters tries to speak for all black people and minorities.

"There's so many Trump supporters out there that are minorities," Taylor said. "She doesn't speak for everybody, she surely doesn't speak for me."

Joined by Duffy on the show Thursday, Taylor said he does not fit "Waters' narrative" as a man of African-American and Hispanic descent who supports President Trump's agenda.

"I'm really excited," said Taylor.

The dems have a lot riding on keeping their percentages of minorities.

The loss of  Hispanics and blacks from their numbers is reason for great concern.

Recent history shows name-calling, e.g. "deplorables," is not certain and good strategy.

But it is the only one they seem to plan on using.

Pelosi would have a ignorant working stiff, that the bonus his private sector stiff just gave him/her is "crumbs," compared to the riches she has along with her socialist government plantation tenders.
