Congress should pass a newer and better DACA program

During the next few weeks, President Trump and Congress will be making a series of decisions shaping the hopes and dreams of nearly 700,000 young people living in this country, before the window to act on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program slams shut the first week of March.

The purpose of DACA is to provide eligible youth protection from deportation and a legal work permit. This allows these young “Dreamers” — brought to the U.S. as children — to attend school, work in crucial industries and serve in the military. Yet, through no fault of their own, these key members of our community face going back into the shadows for fear of deportation.

No.
No daca program at all.
Let the daca's come under the same laws that already exist.
