Anyone who says that adultery is the ultimate betrayal, doesn't really understand the nature and meaning of what betrayal is or can be. There are many, much, many, more levels than just that.

Nope.

It is a hideous betrayal of the most significant relationship among humans, and the person who does it on a serial basis cannot be trusted in anything of significance.

I said that about Clinton in the 90's and I'm saying it now.

Because it's TRUE.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

The ones who cry "fake news" because an article cites unnamed sources will accept as gospel anything put out by Infowars, National Enquirer, Breitbart perhaps and other pro-Trump news outlets and blogs -- even though those items are perhaps less well sourced and perhaps even sketchier than those in the allegedly "fake" media.  Only news and comments favorable to Trump are acceptable.

@Applewood

Of course.  We see that here on a daily basis.   Any source favorable to Trump is trusted and any source that says anything bad about him is garbage.

(Even about his hair!   :silly:)

The sad thing is that they think we don't notice.

At some point even the most hardened Trump hater has gotta realize they’re being played.

That’s an effing knee slapper.

Weathervane Donny has been all over the place in his public life.  For single payer, against Obamacare.  Mostly identified democrat, runs republican.   Very much pro-choice prior to his candidacy.  Donations to corrupt politicians to grease the wheels, wants to drain the swamp, tells challengers they’re on their own.

That’s just a small list.  You true believers are the ones being taken for a ride.

Excuse me??  You were the one who reacted in horror that making fun of Trump's HAIR was "disrespectful" and like DU.  :silly:

Your emotional investment is, by the record, in Trump.  And it's personal.

I did not support the man in the primaries, but did vote for him in the general because I cared more for my country than to not do my part to keep Hillary Clinton out of office.  As usual, you are out in left field.

As for the thread here making fun of Trump’s hair, it was remarkable reminiscent of the many old DU postings of Bushitler.  But whatever rings your bell.  ;)

Well, clearly laughing at Trump's hair got you riled up, no matter what your excuse is now.

His hair is dumb, and it's our right as Americans to laugh at him, with no bells being rung whatsoever.  Or perhaps freedom of speech and freedom of redress are not important to you?

The “big deal” was that Clinton lied to a Grand Jury.  Setting precedents that the POTUS can lie to the Grand Jury without consequences was considered to not be a good idea to me at the time.  YMMV.

@anubias

No, perjury was the grounds for impeachment, but conservatives were very vocal about the importance of decency and morality in leadership.

You know, like George Washington said.  But what did he know, amirite?

At some point even the most hardened Trump hater has gotta realize they’re being played. I mean, day after day the Democratic-Get-Trump-Fake-News-Machine promises scandal and day after day the NeverTrump Brigade sop it up. Laughable, were it not so pathetic.

The “TruCons!” (My new word to replace the word on this forum that must not be named!) have a vested interest in perpetuating BS.  Is it really worth our time to google for them?  Meh.   I tend to believe they already know the truth.

Say that to someone whose spouse just screwed around on them and you’d probably have to leave.  Quickly.

Maybe you should go back and look at the thread again with a fresh eye?  Or maybe you should go to DU and look at those old threads with a fresh eye.  I’m guessing you no longer find those threads offensive since you now think it’s all in fun.  Like I said, whatever rings your bell.

Yes and what was really impressive is the fact she signed it with the pen between her breasts, then tied a cherry stem in a knot with her tongue.

At this point I don’t think we can say whether this is true or not.  Yes, it’s certainly right in line with the adulterous behavior Trump himself bragged about in one of his books.  Still, I’m not personally going to make a judgment right now.

But if it is true, it’s going to be really entertaining to see the people who extol Melania as the highest example of a good wife and mother (calm down, I like her) throw her under the bus.  “So he nailed a porn star after Melania had his son!  Big deal!”

The thread was hilarious.  Seeing Trump with a man bun was hilarious.  Your being so upset because people were being "disrespectful" of your guy was also quite amusing......... and revealing of your personal dedication to the man with the funny hair.

I guess good humor doesn't "ring your bell."

No biggie, but as I said.......revealing.

I'm not sure if she's too young to remember how vocal conservatives were about Clinton's adultery well before his impeachment for perjury, or if she didn't mind his adultery either (not Jesus Christ, you know?), or if she's completely changed her moral values for Trump, but in any case, George Washington was right.....

It's just "conservatives" who have now joined the left in disagreeing with him.

Considering the past comments I have seen you make to others, I am not surprised you would come to such a conclusion.  My GAF meter is pegging 0 at what you find revealing.

It didn't take any particular brilliance to come to the conclusion that you were protecting the "honor" of your beloved President by accusing those participating in the humor as being DU types because of their lack of "respect."   It made me chuckle that you were offended by hair jokes.  (Sorta like Obama was offended by ear jokes....... right??)

btw, Trump's hair is funny.  A sense of humor is our friend.  ^-^

But the point that needs to be repeated here is that, whether or not this particular accusation is correct (who knows at this point?), Trump has admitted in print that he is a serial adulterer.

Serial adulterers are the ultimate betrayers of truth and decency, and can't be trusted.

He IS one.  By his own admission.

I didn’t care at the time, either.  I was too busy having fun going dancing and living a young single life.  But now and then I would come across a news broadcast, and I can read now.  If a person really has no idea of the conservative mindset regarding morality during the Clinton era, they should get informed.

Nope, making fun of public servants doesn’t make you a DUer.  It’s an American tradition.

Ooooo................. so you're a young'n!  ^-^

But the point you make is important.

A person making comments about Clinton's immorality and impeachment on a public forum ought to be at least informed as to what happened, and how pretty much every conservative reacted to it.  (It's not hard to find).

Now maybe some of them were pretending to care and didn't actually care back then and that he was totally without morals, but the vast, VAST majority of us cared deeply that a creep like Clinton was in the Oval Office.

And many of us still have the values we had then.

I know dear.  Thus I am not surprised that you came to the conclusion that you did.  *yawn*

The only conclusion that I can draw from your continuing to repeat the same sillinous ad nauseum is that you obviously believe your BS or you would not think that pesky flea act bother me.  I get it.  You’re out in left field, but believe what you will.  As I said previously, my GAS meter is pegging 0 for what you think.

What's the difference between your GAF meter and your GAS meter?  Do either of those terms mean anything?   :pondering:  I understand that you don't like me because I don't like Trump, but other than that have you said anything that means anything at all??

Incidentally, you get nauseated pretty easily if my saying something a couple of times on one thread makes you sick.

Perhaps you should see a doctor about that problem?  ^-^

Seeing the same hypocrisy on conservative Facebook post on the same topic. All too quick to react posting  it's "Fake news" to the "who cares, if he had an affair" comments. Did we expect anything less when he was running way ahead in the primaries inspite of earlier stories of affairs, and all  the gaffes, ugly comments, and awful tweets he made. His supporters didn't care then and they don't care now.
