California's Brown Raises Prospect of Pension Cuts in Downturn

Supreme Court is set to consider if benefit cuts permissible
Ruling could provide relief to cash-strapped localities

California Governor Jerry Brown said legal rulings may clear the way for making cuts to public pension benefits, which would go against long-standing assumptions and potentially provide financial relief to the state and its local governments.

Brown said he has a "hunch" the courts would "modify" the so-called California rule, which holds that benefits promised to public employees can’t be rolled back. The state’s Supreme Court is set to hear a case in which lower courts ruled that reductions to pensions are permissible if the payments remain “reasonable” for workers.

Wait..........How is this possible, starting with Aaaahhhnnold, and peaking with the current governor, the democrats( yes I include the Schwarz) have done all they could to push industry and business out of California while concurrently raising taxes and inviting in hundreds of thousands of financial leeches. How could that possibly result in a financial downturn, it's simply an acceleration of the classic liberal democrat road map for America.

Moonbeam argues that their state is flush in cash and so awesome. Why would he need to cut pensions if that is the case? Oh yeah. He is a lying sack of shit.

Yeah....not to put a racist slant on things... but.... let's do the leftie logic math:

Pensions - usually promised to long-time, previously full-time employed mostly WHITE (gasp!) guys that don't all or always vote Democrat.

Welfare - usually goes to non-employed non-white or hispanic guys that mostly vote Democrat.

Which group can we least afford to piss off?   The one that votes DemocRat consistently, of course.

Whitey loses, once again and as usual.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.

And we won't even mention how the rats have created the perfect environment for wildfires and mudslides (See:  Current Montecito, CA news) via their asinine leftist enviro whacko policies.  The left is, in fact, endangering lives and costing the lives of many Californians as we speak.

FedGov under Trump unlikely to continue funding train boondoggle,  as well.

Trump said if you want your shitty train, pay yourselves.
