  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Unsealed court documents detail how the team of prosecutors tasked with convicting Cliven Bundy and his sons of crimes relating to a 2014 armed standoff failed to turn over potential exculpatory evidence to the court, The Oregonian reports.

The Bundys’ case ended in a mistrial Dec. 20 after Judge Gloria Navarro ruled that prosecutors violated the civil rights of the defendants by withholding evidence supporting the Bundys’ case. Navarro is considering dismissing the case “with prejudice” and blocking prosecutors from retrying the case. Her decision will come Jan. 8, according to The New York Times.

“There were approximately 3,000 pages that were provided to us only after we started trial,” Bundy lawyer Bret D. Whipple told TheNYT. “I personally have never seen anything like this, especially in a case of such importance.”

To keep the out-of-control bureaucracy at arms-length, this is a good start.

Trump Needs to Transfer All Federal Land Back to the States
The Utah and Bundy Ranch cases are a reminder of just how constitutionally untenable and corrupting federal ownership is.

And a passel of scumbag lawyers need to be disbarred as well.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

All federal lands, including military bases? There are states leadership I wouldn't trust with that. Depending on the state, and pains me to say it because I believe there are is a lot of land that needs to be returned to the people of the individual state, I would have real concerns of those same states leaders A. making it just as inaccessible as Clinton and Obama or B. selling off prime real estate to fund their socialistic programs.

Are you suggesting they shouldn't?

The prosecutors went way out of the way to prove their case, even to the extent of with-holding evidence which, as I understand it, is not a 'technicality' but spoilation of evidence, which in some jurisdictions can be a criminal act.

Read the article.

It deconstructs what is permissible land that was Constitutionally allowed to become federal lands, including post office, military uses, etc.
