I remember sitting in the living room watching the old black and white TV we had listening to the message from lunar orbit.

Christmas Eve and I should have been in bed well before that time, but my dad let me stay up late to watch the live coverage on TV. I remember him telling me not to worry about me not being in bed when Santa came, because just like us, Santa was probably taking a break from delivering presents and watching it too. : )

And as I recall, Santa still delivered and it was an awesome Christmas. I got a Barbie, an Easy Bake Oven, a Thing Maker and a really big Spirograph set.
