In the aftermath of Roy Moore’s shocking defeat in the Alabama Senate race to replace Attorney
General Jeff Sessions, partisans on both sides are rushing to learn all the wrong lessons. There’s a lot to
be said when one of the reddest states in America sends a pro-abortion Democrat to the Senate to caucus
against President Trump, a man Alabamans voted for by 27% over Hillary Clinton. But it’s also easy to
take too much from one data point.

Here’s what we can learn.
