6 Big Lessons From Roy Moore's Huge Alabama Disaster

Quote
In the aftermath of Roy Moore’s shocking defeat in the Alabama Senate race to replace Attorney
General Jeff Sessions, partisans on both sides are rushing to learn all the wrong lessons. There’s a lot to
be said when one of the reddest states in America sends a pro-abortion Democrat to the Senate to caucus
against President Trump, a man Alabamans voted for by 27% over Hillary Clinton. But it’s also easy to
take too much from one data point.

Here’s what we can learn.

1. There Is A Bridge Too Far For Non-Presidential Voters . . .

2. Democrats Are Absolute Fools To Throw Pro-Lifers Out Of Their Party . . .

3. Republicans Are Absolute Fools To Buy Into Steve Bannon’s “Anti-Establishment” Con Game . . .

4. Democrats Are Going To Be Hungry In 2018 . . .

5. Being Openly Anti-Trump Has Serious Electoral Consequences In A Primary, But Trump Has No Coattails In General Elections . . .

6. Trump’s Agenda Matters Less Than The Mood . . .

Which is how the big 0 got elected last time, and the first time.  Could be about time we learned something from that.

You're not saying that we should run candidates that don't repulse a broad spectrum of GOP voters are you?

The GOP is better off losing a seat than electing a lawless crank who says and does the stupidest things.

That you can’t write an ‘R’ on a turd and expect it to be automatically elected, even in very republican states.

That some people get really, really p*ssed off at the thought of a 32 year old man dating an 17 year old girl.

If a 32 year-old man tries to make moves on my daughter when she’s 17, he’s going to need a full set of dentures in very short order.

And you are going to need a good criminal defense lawyer. A 17 year old female is an adult
female and she is free to date whoever she wants, as long he is also an adult. If you don't
like that change the age of consent laws in the several states.

What about a fourteen-year-old?

A 14 yo is not considered an adult for the purpose of "dating". And point you are trying to
make is?

One of Mr. Moore's accusers was fourteen at the time of their encounter.

I don't know and if one mention Mike Lee, one might get some attention but the fact that Ted Cruz even pulled his endorsement sure is interesting.  These aren't the swamp creatures people talk of, these are not McConnell lackeys.  And I might say that for a few others as well such as Tim Ross of SC.

Alleged encounter. You have already accepted that allegation as gospel, when upon examination that fell apart.

Of course, everything a young woman says is false unless proven by the testimony of a male.  Funny how those who claim to hate Sharia law are perfectly happy incorporating its tenets into American law so long as they can avoid having to use the word “sharia”.

Moore used to trawl the malls looking for underage “pretty young things” to hit on and has admitted as much. That may have been kosher back in the dark ages, but it ain’t now, and Moore seems singularly incapable of realizing that times have changed.  If he ever gets within speaking distance of my daughter he’s going to need a new set of dentures.

Your self-righteous rage has been noted. The veracity of such accounts is irrelevant, because you are pissed off. Got it. Would you like a pitchfork or a firebrand, sir?

Hurry, the parade is about to start:

Or you could just tell the guy "No." when he came to ask your permission to take her out.
