Skier Lindsey Vonn: I don’t want to represent Trump at Olympics
By Brett Samuels - 12/06/17 08:21 PM EST

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn on Wednesday criticized President Trump, saying she doesn’t believe he represents the country well.

"I want to represent our country well. I don't think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that," Vonn told CNN.

She added that she hopes "to represent the people of the United States, not the president" at the upcoming Winter Olympics.

The skier also said she would not accept an invitation to the White House if she won another gold medal at next year’s Winter Olympics.

Shouldn't she wait until she wins before announcing this?   :pondering:

Olympics: Lindsey Vonn injures back in World Cup event
Yahoo Sports, Dec 9, 2017, Kevin Kaduk

Lindsey Vonn’s road to her final Olympics has encountered some trouble.

The American skiing star was treated for a back injury after completing her World Cup Super-G race in St. Moritz, Switzerland on Saturday.  Vonn went to the ground after crossing the finish line and observers said she was experiencing extreme pain. She was treated in a nearby house and later limped to a car without speaking to reporters.

Yup.  Lindsey, if you feel that strongly about it, make a protest!  Punish us with your absence.
I will NOT comply.

Lindsey Vonn didn't even make it to the Olympics she just got injured in Switzerland. The Trump curse is real.
“My god! How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy? I confess I had no idea of it myself.” Jefferson writing to Madison on America in 1785 while in Paris.

I take the Olympics very seriously and what they mean and what they represent, what walking
under our flag means in the opening ceremony. I want to represent our country well. I don’t
think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.

---Lindsay Vonn. (Emphasis added.)

Somehow I think Reagan would have laughed off Lindsey Vonn’s refusal to visit the White House,
while agreeing with her that her primary responsibility at the Olympics is to represent the people
of the United States — not the occupant of the White House.

---John Fund, National Review.

No argument here.
