Charlie Rose on accusations: 'It's not wrongdoings'
The Hill, Nov 21, 2017, Julia Manchester

Television journalist Charlie Rose said in the wake of numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against him that he was not involved in any "wrongdoings."

A TMZ photojournalist asked Rose outside of his apartment in New York City on Monday if the veteran journalist had anything to say to the women who had accused him of wrongdoings.

"It's not wrongdoings," Rose said, smiling as he entered his apartment.

Rose's comments came after The Washington Post reported that eight women had accused the influential television anchor of sexual misconduct.

Charlie Rose shows how not to apologize
donsurber.com, Nov 21, 2017, Don Surber

<snip>

Rose gets the prize for the most sanctimonious apology so far.

Quote
In my 45 years of journalism, I have prided myself on being an advocate for the careers of the women with whom I have worked. Nevertheless, in the past few days, claims have been made about my behavior toward some former female colleagues.

It's essential that these women know I hear them and that I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior. I am greatly embarrassed. I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate. I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realize I was mistaken.

I have learned a great deal as a result of these events, and I hope others will too. All of us, including me, are coming to a newer and deeper recognition of the pain caused by conduct in the past, and have come to a profound new respect for women and their lives.

One thing I notice is missing: Stories of fathers, brothers and friends of these women, kicked the fecal smears out of the perps.

Firing 75 yr. old Rose is a throwaway, btw.  It solves the problem of "how are we going to get rid of him?"

Mr. Rose should file an age discrimination suit.  This is just an excuse CBS is using to get rid of him.

@dfwgator and now PBS has done the same.

Maybe he can get a job with Dan Rather over at Axios.

Crucifying Roy Moore as part of the plan to re take Congress is more important to SEE BS than Charlie Rose.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Sure.

Most of the meetings I've conducted have been in the nude because of personal impulse and shared popular demand.  It's a real effing burden.

So, we have producers, directors, actors, TV hosts, so-called civil servants and so on. Wonder when the victims of all the rap videos and concerts will be coming forward? lol Yeah, I will give them this; they are pretty upfront about what their expectations are. I doubt we will see anyone going after Snoop Dog, Kanye, Jay-Z or any of the others.
