Nuke that cave.

From orbit.  It's the only way to be sure.

Quoting the article referenced:

Quote
While Cacachilensis is pretty good sized, it’s nowhere near that world’s largest by leg span, Heteropoda maxima, the giant huntsman spider which lives in Laos. Its legs can grow as large as 1 foot and it also stands accused of spinning webs out of nightmares and feasting on children’s dreams.

I didn't make that up, the article actually says that.
Let it burn.

I wonder how they taste. I bet I could cook that dude up, into a spaghetti or maybe a roasted garlic butter thing on a stick.

He definitely looks edible to me.

Probably tastes a lot like one of these...

Or a lobster.  Spend more than a dollar.

Nah. I don't think I'll eat him. Change of heart. Let him go forth a multiply. I don't know. I kind of like the little fellow.

It is true that crab, and lobster, and shrimp, are bugs.
They are bugs that live in the ocean, but they are still just bugs.

And yes, a crab is a form of waterborne spider. It is in the same arthropod grouping as a spider is.
