150 years ago it wasn't uncommon for a 14 yr old to marry a 35 yr old.    But then the 35 yr old tended to die at 46.

Things change.   Cultural norms and accepted behavior with them.

Even if that is true, to hold against the prior generation that which was perfectly normal and acceptable is utterly ridiculous.

Why?

They are shoving homosexual marriage down our throats by force of the courts and government with punishment if we do not accept their 'cultural norms'?

It's just another blatant case of virtue signaling bullshit to achieve political ends.

And behemoth all-powerful government wins again over liberty - which is diminished yet further so as to make room for more license and irresponsibility disguised as 'freedom'.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Agreed...meanwhile the GOPe and Cruz, Lee and Croyn joined the bandwagon without considering a presumption of innocence until proven guilty

It was rhetorical to begin with.

Modern deprived cultural norms holding in contempt past cultural norms is an exercise in hilarity, humor and ridiculousness.  I just enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy and stupidity of it all.

And that, it is.

Understood but the fact remains that Moore and his wife have a similar age difference to the women involved with the accusations, and the implied wrongdoing alluded to by the media, democrats and weak minded Republicans.

So apparently nothing was "out of line" when Moore and his wife married.

More or less summarizes the apparent conundrum in some people's minds.

It seems like a "no-brainer"  to me.

Picking a pedo over a rat is a easy for many nobrainers.

Lynch mob mentality...all of this hysteria, until hard evidence is presented. Give the man a friggin break. There was more corroborated evidence with either of the Clinton’s and nothing came of it and the Lynch mobs got nowhere. Give it a rest for God’s sake.

Legally zilch, but culturally, there is the "half plus seven years" rule of non-creepiness that seems to ring true with a lot of folks.
Who’s rule is that? It’s bs.
