Back in the spring of 1971, I was a member of a tour of East Berlin, courtesy of the U.S. Army. We were given a few "free hours" to wander where we wished, so I went into the premier "department store" there to have a look around.
I remember visiting the electronics area, and seeing rows of radios. Quite a few of them.
If you wanted one, you had so many choices from which to choose!
Only one problem -- they were ALL THE SAME radio.
Such were the "choices" of communism!
