Russia's Only Aircraft Carrier Is Doomed
« on: October 14, 2017, 03:54:33 am »
Zachary Keck

Russia’s only aircraft carrier, the aging Admiral Kuznetsov, is in big trouble.

This week, a Russian-language report in Interfax disclosed that Russia has cut in half funding for repairing and modernization its aircraft carrier. “Instead of [the] previously planned approximately 50 billion rubles [$867 million] for the work, it is planned to allocate about half of the previously announced amount,” Interfax reported, citing a source “familiar” with the situation. The same source said that the budgetary problems has forced Russia to abandon plans to modernize the carrier, and instead Moscow will only proceed with the previously planned repairs. These will primarily focus on fixing the vessel's propulsion system, the report added. This is the absolute minimum Russia can do to avoid completely scrapping the ship: the  propulsion system has been so unreliable that the carrier must be accompanied at all times by a large, ocean-going tug ship in case it breaks down (again). The decision to forgo modernization did not come completely out of the blue. The National Interest’s David Majumdar reported back in July that Moscow was considering scaling back its modernization plans. At that time, however, Russian officials claimed this decision had been made in order to have the carrier back in the fleet as soon as possible

Once upon a time there was a rich powerful empire called Babylon.
They built a huge wall surrounding their Babylonian capital that
was so strong and wide several chariots could ride abreast on top
and no enemy could breach it.

Babylonians thought they were unconquerable... and they laughed
at the new king in the east who might dare to oppose them.

The new king in the east was not nearly as rich or powerful...
but he was intelligent and more importantly, God was on his side.

The new king knew he could not overtly breach Babylon's wall.
But he kept his troops busy elsewhere digging canals.

One fateful night,  Babylonians were having a great festival...
and were partying drunk in the streets of Babylon.

The new king's troops stealthy diverted the water from the
Euphrates River [which Babylon sat upon] to secretly enter
the city of Babylon by going UNDER Babylon's wall along
the dried up river bed.  They pretended to be fellow revelers
as they made their way undetected through the streets
of Babylon to the palace.

Many Babylonians did not realize they had been invaded,
until they woke up to discover their city and their empire
was under new management.

It still warrants anyone in their right mind to fix or pay  for a ship that is literally falling apart.

The Bible says the righteous inherit the wealth of the wicked.

Go back to the 'once upon a time' story I posted here previously.

Babylon had conquered most of the known world.

When the new king from the east conquered Babylon, he inherited
all of Babylon's territories, wealth and power.

There is another story from ancient history that also relates to this.

Before he conquered Babylon,  the new king from the east conquered
a smaller kingdom and imprisoned it's king.  The imprisoned king asked
the new king from the east what his troops were doing.  The new king
replied,  my troops are looting your city.  The imprisoned king replied,
no,  your troops are looting YOUR city.  It was a valuable lesson the
new king never forgot.

I see by your signature you are interested in ancient Rome.

Did you know Imperial Russia was called the "Third Rome."  Historians say Tsar Nicholas II [Romanov] was not only the last Russian tsar he was also the last Roman emperor.  This year, 2017, is the 100th anniversary of the fall of the Third Rome at the hands of barbarians [Democrat and Bolshevik revolutionaries.]

The reason why the Tsar Nicholas II was unsucessful, that he a poor leader in both the Russo-Japanese War and WWI. He lost 3 million men under his command from 1914-1917. The imperial period of Rome lasted approximately 1,500 years compared to the 500 years of the Republican era.In Vergil's epic poem the Aeneid, limitless empire is said to be granted to the Romans by their supreme deity Jupiter.

Not only was Tsar Nicholas II the last emperor of the Russian Third Rome...
because he was part German, he was also one of the last heirs of the Holy Roman Empire.

Russia's defeat in the Russo-Japanese war was the beginning of the end of Tsarist Russia.

The US government wanted that war and fostered it because Tsarist Russia was in the way
of  US plans for the Far East.

Ironically, presidents Roosevelt, Taft and Wilson all supported revolutionaries against Russia's tsar.

In the quotes below,  "Hay" is John Hay,  Theodore Roosevelt's Secretary of State,  who initiated the US "Open Door" policy with China.

" Roosevelt and the British feared Russia. Manchuria was also the subject of lobbying by American commercial interests. “Our trade there is assuming enormous proportions,” Hay wrote. Hay urged Roosevelt to encourage Japan to attack Russia. " [pg 177-178]

" Russia backed down and promised to open all ports to all nations except Harbin and to withdraw its troops by October 8, 1903. “How much this anti-Russian, pro-Japanese policy of the Roosevelt Administration encouraged Japan to make war on Russia is unknown.” [pg 180-181]"

" Roosevelt’s stated aims in Asia: keep Russia and Japan balanced in power. “Japan could have Korea but must guarantee protection of U.S. concessions there.” Japan would be kept out of China, the Russians could predominate in Manchuria if they followed an Open Door policy." [pg 238]

" Japanese war aims were explained to Roosevelt before the battle of Mukden. They wanted to control Port Arthur and Korea, and have the rest of Manchuria taken from the Russians and put back in Chinese control." [pg 247]

You are forgetting that Nicholas II was resposible for the deaths of 3 million men on the Eastern Front and maimed who knows how many men under his leadership. This lead to the Bolshevik movement under Lenin. Their motto was "Peace, Land, and Bread." They cut a peace deal with the Germans under the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk and ended the war in the East.

Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his cousins  Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany and King George V of Britain used to wear one another's military uniforms.

WW1 was fostered by evil men who sought to destroy the Christian monarchies of Europe.  President Wilson said as much in his famous April 1917 war speech to congress... how the war was to make the world safe for democracy.  He also said the revolutionaries who had just deposed Tsar Nicholas a few weeks earlier were America's "partner."

Tsar Nicholas II and his cousin Kaiser Wilhelm II wrote many private messages to one another trying to avoid war.  It was an intentional LIE generated by Kaiser Wilhelm's pro-war Chancellor Bethmann-Hollweg sent to Russia that proved to be the death knell that began the terrible conflict between cousins.

King George V of Britain was forced to change his German name to Windsor,  Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany was deposed by revolutionaries and Tsar Nicholas II of Russia was deposed by democrat revolutionaries and murdered [with his entire family] by bolshevik revolutionaries.  Welcome to President Wilson's brave new democratic Europe.

But it was Czar Nicholas who was the first to mobilize for war. King George the V did not give his cousin asylum because the "bad press" in England. The King believed this was a necessary evil to prevent radicals and anarchists from using the Czar’s arrival to rally workers around revolutionary causes in Great Britain and Ireland.

You really should read the article I linked above
how the Tsar and Kaiser wanted to avoid war.

But circumstances, events, war-mongers and
manipulated public opinion made the war beyond
the control of either the Tsar or Kaiser to stop.

Otto Von Bismarck predicted the start of World war I with quote “One day the great European War will come out of some damned foolish thing in the Balkans (1888).” It did because of the Assasination of Franz Ferdinand. The assassinations, along with the arms race, nationalism, imperialism, militarism, and the alliance system all contributed to the origins of World War I, which began a month after Franz Ferdinand's death, with Austria-Hungary's declaration of war against Serbia.[36] The assassination of Ferdinand is considered the most immediate cause of World War I.

After a century of both democrat and bolshevik propaganda...
sadly, there is not much left of real European history. And now
White Europeans themselves are being targeted for destruction.

The war in Europe lasted from 1914-1945. It never ended on November 11,1918 . It just went underground and a new leader arose in Germany: Adolf Hitler and in Russia Joseph Stalin. There will be always some sort of conflict in Europe. Democracy would be hard because of the war weary democracies of France and Britain. Germany was surviving in the 1920s because of loans from the United States(Dawes Plan).

War and revolution to destroy the Christian monarchies of Europe was first advocated in a speech before US congressmen at the Capitol in DC in 1857... 60 years before Presidents Roosevelt, Taft and Wilson helped fulfill that prophecy.

Here is a quote from that 1857 speech:

"As this conflict puts a final end to all earthly monarchy, and as all political governments are either autocratic or democratic....  the conclusion is forced upon us that one of the grand missions of the providential Republic of America is the final overthrow of monarchy and the extension of the principles of popular freedom over the whole world."
