NFL player: Don't come to the game if our protest upsets you
By Rick Moran

NFL players are sounding off about fans who are mad at them for kneeling during the National Anthem.

What they're saying is revealing.

It seems people are doing just that
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

It would do my heart good to see the NFL go down in flames, and see most of those thugs hit the streets.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Bunch of rich, over-privileged, ungrateful arseholes.

Why watch pro football anyway when the baseball playoffs are about to begin?

Done.   And by the way won't be watching on TV, buying logo gear, listening on the radio or any of that.  Hope you jokers play in empty stadiums

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Since this article, it's about a day or two old,  other articles have come out where Delanie Walker, the player in the story, says he has received death threats. He sure came off arrogant in the interview.

We're way ahead of you....

Saturday’s Texas-USC had more in attendance than Sunday’s Rams and Chargers games. Combined.

Thank you.  I'll start calling during the day and over the weekend.  We've cancelled the NFL Sunday ticket, dumped the gear, no NFL gear for Christmas and are doing other things together on Sunday.  Better for the family by far.

I doubt the NFL is going anywhere any time soon.  Many teams have years of waiting list for season tickets:  the Packers have 81K people on it; the Cowboys 70K; the Broncos 75K.  The Thursday night football contract signed in 2016 between the NFL and CBS/NBC was for a combined $900M to air just 20 games.  Overall, the networks pay billions to the NFL for the right to broadcast the games.  The teams divide up a big chuck of this revenue.  This is all found money on top of game receipts for the owners.  Sure, the league might take some hit in TV revenue going forward, but I don’t see anything jeopardizing the league’s dominance on Sunday afternoons.

Well, my Steelers shirts are in sorry shape, and I was going to pitch them and get some new shirts.  But now I'm not so sure.  I noticed that a nearby Dick's Sporting Goods store had Steelers shirts and other gear prominently displayed by the door.  Yesterday, I noticed they were replaced at the door by Penguins shirts and gear.  Didn't go into the store, so I don't know where the Steelers gear went to.  Maybe next to summer clearance?   Stores selling fan gear are going to take a financial hit.

If the taxpayers were coerced into funding/building those stadiums, they have every right to expect the NFL to comport themselves in a professional manner.

It's the ungrateful anti-American thugs who should leave and protest on their own time.
Throwing our allegiances to political parties in the long run gave away our liberty.
