Hungary Threatens 'Pain' For Ukraine Over Controversial Language Law

Hungary has pledged to block Ukraine's further integration with Europe after Kyiv enacted a controversial education law that critics say will restrict the study of minority languages in schools.

Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on September 26 that the consequences for Kyiv would be "painful" after Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the measure making Ukrainian the required language of study in state schools from the fifth grade on.

"Hungary will block all steps within the European Union that would represent a step forward in Ukraine's European integration process," Szijjarto said in comments to the Hungarian news agency MTI that were also posted on the Hungarian government's website. http://www.kormany.hu/en/ministry-of-foreign-affairs-and-trade/news/this-will-be-painful-for-ukraine

Ukraine is not allowing the language of some minorities in that country to be taught in their own language. Something along these lines.  The Hungarians are one such minority.

Did anyone catch the articles of the Jews, especially Orthodox who make a pilgrimage to Ukraine every year with that city, Uman? That certainly doesn't sound like everyone.

And yes, many Jews were massacred in Ukraine as well in World War II.  It's famous for it.

As of now, Georgia, Ukraine have been attacked by Russia or at least, Russian-backed militants; they get away with this, they could end up attacking Poland, the Baltics;

Russia is a society where the people at the bottom rung do suffer and that's my main beef with them. Putin and the likes are what the old Oligarchs are. The infrastructure is aging, they don't care about their people.  Also, if not probable, it is a possibility that within decades, they become a Muslim-majority nation, besides, shooting down civilian airliners, the list goes on.

So, that kind of threatening government, I will stand against.
