No.
No "long path" to citizenship.
No citizenship... at all.
Sorry.
@Fishrrman Ah come on, I have a long path to citizenship for these poor yutes you might go along with:
Step 1. They return to their country of origin
Step 2. Once they have established residency in their country of origin they file paperwork in the American Embassy requesting a visa.
Step 3. Wait at the end of the line of all that have followed the legal path before them.
Step 4. Wait
Step 5. Wait
Step 6. Wait some more
Step 7. Once they have finally been approved and received a visa, they may
legally enter the U.S.
Step 8. Once in America legally they may apply for permanent residency, once again waiting in line behind everyone that followed all the proper procedures to begin with.
Step 9. If they have followed all the rules after step 2, not committed any crimes other than minor traffic offenses and have met all pertinent requirements they may apply for Citizenship.
Of course the big question is what is the cut off for these children, what year of transgression and at what age? I don't think those brought in as teenagers should be allowed period and as for the parents or adults that brought them in? They should never be allowed citizenship ever, period!
