Ahhh, the fetid smell of Trump-worship in the morning.  Such touching faith in The Wall.

@Hoodat

Mine is the Carolina Panthers, and trust me, it's an exercise in patience that I'm coming to the end of.  I never saw a team so good at winning up until the 4th quarter and then giving it away.  It's their hallmark.  Omg, I still remember 2016...they made it to the Super Bowl and Cam Newton completely choked.

@CatherineofAragon

Mine is Hockey.  Its a better sport, cheaper tickets and the players (even the Russians) are respectful during the national anthem.

The NFL will not be on my TV this year.  Millionaires who play a game complaining about how they've been treated so poorly.    to hell with em

Whatever you think of Trump, his Veep pick was first rate - a conservative by almost anyone's definition and a solid citizen to boot.

Imagine, in seven years, it could be President Pence. Kinda rolls off the tongue, don’t it. Pence will be a tough candidate to beat with the experience he will have gained in this administration, trial by fire, as it were.

IMO, it's just a last gasp at attempting to remain relevant.

In their bizarro world, Ted Cruz should have been the Nominee....if not for the dirty, no-good rotten NYC liberal hack.

So, it's in their nature to not accept the reality, instead hanging around just for the chance to yell, "I told you so!"

 ^-^

@DCPatriot

There you go projecting again.   Not everyone gets personally wrapped up in politicians like you.

"A last gasp to remain relevant"---what does that even mean?  You see what I'm saying?  To your mind, the only people who have any significance are those who see the might and wonder of the great savior Trump.

Let me straighten you out.  It's absolutely true that Cruz would have been a vast improvement over the chaotic, know-nothing mess we have.  However, I never give Cruz a thought until @jpsb or @TomSea bring him up, and that happens about once every other day.

Now...who's obsessed with Ted again?

I never said I was drunk I said I had a hangover, it is not nice to lie about someone. I think there is something about that in the big ten.

@jpsb

Apologies.  Now take your own advice and stop lying about Cruz.

Zactly!   We all know who is really "obsessed" here.  Obsessed with deflecting away from the failures of their hero.... to the point that, whenever those failures are addressed at this forum, they automatically have to bring up Ted Cruz.  It would be laughable if it were not already so damned tiresome.

Nowhere do you accually quote Trump himself

I do

Trump: There will be a wall, no amnesty

All this no wall stuff is fake news

House approves spending bill with $1.6 billion for the border wall

@jpsb

Damn, not only did you dismiss everything I gave you, just as predicted, but you gave the exact response I knew you would.  LOL

I guess I've seen it too often at TOS.  Every single person in Trump's White House could say something, but if the cult members don't like it, they yell that they won't believe it until the Master himself speaks.

Amazing.

If you are trying to tell me Trump will break his promise to Build a Wall, then I am going to have to hear that from Trump himself. Everything I've heard from him is contrary to that.

Please stop lying about me, I did not bring Cruz up. @corbe did, I just responded to him/her as I clearly stated to @XenaLee  in post 134.

Well, I guess hockey is a better sport if you like it, but it's all subjective.  The Panthers' players haven't pulled any of that kneeling stuff.

Besides, if I turned off everything on TV because someone is a left winger, I'd never watch anything.  Good grief, politics doesn't have to bleed into everything.

Funny how you accuse me of injecting politics into football when its the players, owners, and commissioner who have allowed their business to endorse the normalization of disrespect for our nation and hatred of law enforcement.

Or do you think the 8th graders who took a knee during the national anthem thought up the idea on their own?

I sure you already know this but you bring absolutely nothing of value to any conservation you engage it.

Not where you're concerned (there's nothing of value to which to respond, so I don't feel like wasting my time), but then, neither do you (everywhere you're concerned).  The only difference being that you still think you're the bees' knees.

It's funny how people's perceptions change.

I lived in Texas most of my life.  We always have two Republican Senators, a good one and a bad one.

Kaye Bailey Hutchison was the good Senator but then she became the bad senator and John Cornyn was the good Senator.

Now John Cornyn is the bad Senator and Ted Cruz is the good senator.

Weird, ain't it.

I believe he was caught in a gay bar at one point, so I doubt it was an alligator he swallowed.  :whistle:

@Emjay

I contacted Hutchison, Cornyn, and Pete Olsen (our rep) after my displeasure with the Kelo decision.

Cornyn didn't reply, he just started e-mailing me his news letter, which has since stopped.

Olsen replied with the usual, thanks for contacting us and being involved, but no real response. (he replaced Tom DeLay). after that, My home phone would have messages on it from him now and then, "Sorry we missed you for the phone-in town hall", which has since stopped, also.

Hutchison was the only one that came back with an answer, that she was as dismayed about it as I was, and hoped that they could rectify future issue like that without bad Supreme Court rulings.
She didn't keep contacting me, but I think she had already made up her mind about leaving the Senate.
