Remember Maria Chappelle-Nadal, the Missouri Democractic state senator who openly called for Donald Trump’s assassination on Facebook? If not, here's a refresher:
The now-deleted comment landed Chappelle-Nadal in pretty hot water with the public and her fellow state legislators last month – just apparently not hot enough to get her booted from her seat.
According to this, Chappelle-Nadal was handed a formal reprimand by her legislative compatriots this week for saying she hopes Trump gets murdered while in office. The disgraced state senator responded to the measure by once again refusing to resign her seat, a position she's maintained for weeks.
"Again, I apologize for the Facebook posting," she said in a statement after being issued the reprimand. "However, I have made it clear that I will not resign. The voters of my district elected me to represent them. I will work tirelessly for the remainder of my elected term to bring about positive change for my constituents and all Missourians.
