David Horowitz: Charlottesville Is Biggest 'Fake News' Story of Summer
Wednesday, August 16, 2017 01:37 PM

By: David Horowitz

Editor's Note: David Horowitz is the author of the runaway New York Times best-seller "Big Agenda: President Trump’s Plan to Save America." His book first predicted the anti-Trump left would use race to divide America and undermine the Trump presidency. His op-ed for Newsmax appears below. Get more info on "Big Agenda" — Go Here Now.

The tragedy in Charlottesville, Virginia, could have been an occasion to stop and consider how the tolerance for politically correct violence and politically correct hatred is leading the nation toward civil war.

Instead, the media and the political left have turned this incident into the biggest fake news story of the summer, transforming its real lessons into a morality play that justifies war against the political right, and against white people generally.

The organizers of the "Unite the Right" demonstration in Charlottesville were repellent racists.

But they came to defend a historic monument honoring a complex man and cause, and not to attack it or, presumably, anyone else.

The eclipse is coming.  The MSM might have a camera to point to the sky?    Or not

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

This thing is spinning out of control.  Trump gave a good speech and included a presser.  He explained his position perfectly.

But then, we expect the media and the left to hit him hard, but here come Mitt Romney, McCain and a whole other covey of turncoats joining in the fray against Trump.

If the center fails to hold we can blame them and their evil cohorts.
Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.

Horowitz is mostly right, maybe 80% correct but at the same time, I think there are some concerns and no one needs to go tribal.

The same thing I've been saying in other threads, and getting attacked for having said as much.

You can hate the KKK'ers, the Amero-nazis, the alt-righters (heck, who cares what they call themselves, they're all evil "white nationalists", right??) as much as you want, but they didn't provoke the violence.

The antifadas did.
And it is THEY who deserve "the blame" for doing so.
