@austingirl There's only a 5-hour adjustment between UCT and Central Daylight Time. I did a search for my locale and came up with these.https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/usa/houstonhttp://www.khou.com/news/eclipse/solar-eclipse-where-to-watch-1/464364221I don't know how near you are to me. Since you reference South Texas, I assume you're not in Austin. Maybe you're in the Valley. Just guessing. I'm on the Gulf Coast in the Houston-Galveston area.
Thanks for the info on the conversion! I am in Medina, a tiny Hill Country town near Bandera and about fifty miles from San Antonio. I escaped liberal Austin in 2011.
No glasses though, the ones I bought turned out to be not eclipse compliant.
How did you discover that, @Freya? Did you try them on lightbulb and could see it, or what?
Bullseye zone. 100% totality.
Holy Moley! That's awful!! And no chance to get replacements from them... Have you seen how much they are going for on Amazon now?!If you care to send me your address tonight, I will get a pair to you in the mail tomorrow. I'm pretty sure they're actual actual "CE"/ISO/British Standards Institute certified ones, from Eclipse Shade.
