Lucky here, only 80 miles off the center and in the 95% coverage zone. Should be a good show.

Times on the maps are UT universal time. It is seven hours difference for me in South Texas. We will only have about 63% obscuration.

Thanks for the post, @AllThatJazzZ

@austingirl

There's only a 5-hour adjustment between UCT and Central Daylight Time.

I did a search for my locale and came up with these.

I don't know how near you are to me. Since you reference South Texas, I assume you're not in Austin. Maybe you're in the Valley. Just guessing. I'm on the Gulf Coast in the Houston-Galveston area.

Thanks for the info on the conversion! I am in Medina, a tiny Hill Country town near Bandera and about fifty miles from San Antonio. I escaped liberal Austin in 2011.

I've got 80%

No glasses though, the ones I bought turned out to be not eclipse compliant. I'll just enjoy it by not loooking at the sun.

The one in seven years from now I'll be better prepared

OHMYGOSH! I love that part of Texas ... except for the Daddy Long-Legs spiders.

P.S. Congratulations on escaping Austin.

Bullseye zone.  100% totality.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

How did you discover that, @Freya?  Did you try them on lightbulb and could see it, or what?

No I got an email from Amazon saying they weren't safe for eclipse viewing and they were refunding my money.

Holy Moley!  That's awful!!  And no chance to get replacements from them...  Have you seen how much they are going for on Amazon now?!

If you care to send me your address tonight, I will get a pair to you in the mail tomorrow.  I'm pretty sure they're actual actual "CE"/ISO/British Standards Institute certified ones, from Eclipse Shade.

@Suppressed check your mail here:)
