The CCA is used for medium-range, maritime interdiction operations in higher threat environments, per an unclassified Maritime Systems presentation, the outlet reports.
The boat’s design, with its composite hull and high-performance diesel engines, enables it to operate with low risk of detection, per The Drive. This makes the CCA an ideal craft for the insertion and extraction of special forces.
