‘Everything will collapse’ German courts ‘overwhelmed’ by asylum seeker claims
GERMAN courts are on the brink of collapse as they are being “overwhelmed” by asylum seeker appeals and applications, a top judge has warned.

Robert Seegmuller, chairman of the Association of German Administrative Law Judges, claimed the sheer number of migrants challenging the decision of immigration authorities has put a huge strain on the judicial system.

And he says the amount of appeals is overwhelming the civil courts in the country to the point they could collapse under the weight of the cases.

He said: “The situation is dramatic for administrative courts. We are now completely stretched to our limits.”
