Back in the 1970s when I was reading Hal Lindsey's book The Late Great Planet Earth, much of what he wrote about seemed impossible in my lifetime. One could manage a normal life without cash in the wallet? No way! Yes the big stores had credit card machines, but not the mom & pop stores, parking meters, vending machines, street fair vendors, and many other places that seemed decades away from having the technology. Yet here we are. I very rarely have cash on me, and when I do, its not because I need it. At work the cafeteria and the company gift store both use payroll deduction, and the gift store no longer accepts cash at all. There is a chip in my badge to get me in the gate, log me on my computer, and use payroll deduction to buy my lunch. Not a far step to take to have the chip made smaller and implanted.
For those of you that do take literally Bible end-times prophecy, The clock is ticking and its 1-minute to midnight. When Hal wrote his book, we were closer to 11:55PM
