Trump says he plans to 'let Obamacare fail'
« on: July 18, 2017, 10:00:33 pm »
When has ever letting a government program fail resulted in a free market alternative? Nope, it always results in more government 'fixes' and bigger government. Take the NHS in the UK. By all measurable accounts, it has been failing for a half century, but because of all the failures, it keeps growing and growing. Letting it fail is a childish approach that has no historical basis for working.

On top of that, those who want extreme socialist/collectivist solutions bet on programs failing to institute bigger ones. Overloading the system to failure is one of the foundations of the Cloward-Piven strategy.

Just 'letting it fail' would be the Dems dream to have an excuse to implement single-payer.

Quote
President Donald Trump on Tuesday declared that Republicans should “let Obamacare fail,” saying the collapse would force Democrats to work with the GOP as it regroups after support for the Senate’s healthcare bill fell apart Monday night.....

Now that's the correct approach.  Squash any attempt by Democrats and moderates to push through additional funding to support the exchanges.  Force those "moderate Republicans" to either agree to a partial repeal, or take responsibility for full-on implosion.

When has this approach ever worked for a government program?

Historically, whenever a government program started to fail, it was enhanced or boosted by bigger government programs.

At that, we were warned from day 1, the end goal was single-payer, and Obamacare was built to fail so single-payer will be put in as a replacement. Even the architect of Obamacare said as much.

'Just letting it fail' is giving the extreme left exactly what they want and planned for.
