DHS unsure why there's been a spike in illegals along the southern border

The Department of Homeland Security says that there has been a troubling spike in the number of illegal alien apprehensions along the border with Mexico the last two months, and DHS is unsure of the reason for it.

Figures released on Friday show an across-the-board jump in apprehensions, but the number is still far below those seen in previous years.
