Getting a new AR
« on: July 07, 2017, 03:00:13 pm »
Thinking of getting a new AR.  Any recommendations as to a particular brand and model?

This one seems to be a really good value.

Anything I buy will be 5.56X45 NATO. Will work just fine with .223 Remington ammo as well.

I see Primary Arms has your Aero AC15 for $699 http://www.primaryarms.com/aero-precision-ac-15-complete-rifle-apcr100015

Champion Firearms has them for $650 and the owner is a friend so I might do a little better than that even.

Thought about putting one together myself but leaning toward not hassling with that.  To my number 2 son's great displeasure I might add.  He has two and loves to fiddle with them.

Based on price, my brother has recommended I look at:

Thanks!  I will definitely take a look.

I just bought one of these via GunBroker.com

http://www.gunbroker.com/Semi-Auto-Rifles/BI.aspx?Sort=13&IncludeSellers=682195&ca=5000020

No name brand.  When I get mine, I'll give a report.

I paid $351, plus too much ($41.25) in shipping & handling.  I ordered mine in 7.62x39 for a hog gun.  Also ordered a low end night scope.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NZ98OKG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now I'm trying to remember where I put that great ammo price checker link posted here before.
