I am so very grateful to my father for hauling us all out to the Rockies.
Last time I was back there was almost 30 years ago, and I could smell it 50 miles before we hit the burbs... upwind.

I found the route Little Sister @mystery-ak !    U.S. Route 61 (US 61) is the official designation for a United States highway that runs 1,400 ... The road is also known as the Blues Highway because it runs through the Mississippi ... After this junction, the route continues due north to Missouri. .... Wisconsin and Iowa, with neither US 61 nor US 151 passing through Illinois.  Yeah!

Of course that means I will not be able to stop by this year and say hello.  Sniff Sniff.

Split Illinois up into

(1) Municipality of Chicago, and let it sink and rot like Detroit.
(2) Split the rest of the state geographically up among the 5 adjacent states (Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana)
