NASA has captured what looks like when two galaxies collide

Arp 299 is about 140 million light years away from Earth and has been merging for millions of years. Josh King has the story (@abridgetoland).

Cosmic example of either "Hold muh beer and watch this!", or a couple of galactic drivers too busy texting to watch where they are going.......
